Homework Policy

Students should hand in their very best effort on all homework     

  assignments and hand them in on time. There will be time given in class

    each day to at least get started on an assignment if not finish it         

altogether.                                              

Late Work

  *If an assignment is late for the 1st day, 10 points will be deducted from

   the final grade, a note will be sent home to the parent, and it will be due

      the next day. The teacher may also keep the student in from special activities

or recess until the work is done.                             

     *If an assignment is late for the 2nd day, an additional 10 points will be

     deducted from the final grade, a time out will be issued, and a note will be

    sent home to the parent or a personal phone call. Again the teacher may 

       exclude the student from any special activities or recess until the assignment

is completed.                                            

Corrections

 *Corrections - Students who make a grade of F on an assignment are

  allowed to correct their paper and hand it back in for a better grade.   

I will record the average of the two grades.                    

Field Trips

  *If a student does not complete all homework assignments prior to a   

 school field trip held during the year, he or she will not be able to go

with the class at that time.
