Photos with Santa

Santa Claus visited Jordan School on Wednesday, December 17th, 2008.  First and second grade students received letters from Jolly Old St. Nick and opportunities were given for students to get their pictures taken with him.  We would like to thank our photographer, Santa's newest elf, Mrs. Stroud, for taking such great pictures!  Also, thanks to Mrs. Feig for creating such a festive holiday background for the pictures!

Why Try Artice

************************************

The students in Mrs. Lee's second-grade classroom at Jordan School had a visitor recently as part of the school’s Why Try? Program.  Amber Lee (Mrs. Lee's daughter) spent time with the class discussing her job as a medical assistant in a doctor's office.  She also told the children about attending SWIC (Southwestern Illinois College) and working towards a nursing degree.  The children asked many interesting questions about the college and her job in a doctor's office.
